Glad we found this amazing farm-to-table restaurant. All the vegetables are cooked very well. Roasted asparagus is a must-try seasonal dish. Everything on the table are fresh, well-balanced, and flavorful. The service is friendly and gives you the right amount of attention. Great spot for hangout, date night or out-of-town guests. We’ll definitely check in this place again.

Lovely brunch place. The food is exceptional - I loved the French omelette and my boyfriend enjoyed the pulled pork sandwich. The beignet with fruit jam is a nice dessert.

Everything I've had here is excellent and imaginative. The staff is friendly, the decor fits a fancy night out and is moody and stylish. Highly recommend the shrimp and grits, the mussels, and cocktails. Update: brunch here is also a win. I very much enjoyed the French omelette and the beignets came with a delicious lemon custard that's 💯 worth it. These beignets were also perfectly crispy. A little more pricey but if you value novelty it's worth it to try something new that won't disappoint. Their desserts may seem basic but are executed with a lot of skill, so don't let the titles fool you into thinking,"been there done that." The chocolate pudding, the whoopie pies - these are what desserts dream of becoming when they grow up, so you'll want to get them. Probably not a great venue for kids, but they treated ours incredibly well over a two hour dinner with some serious squirrels, all the way down to the mocktails and adjusting the menu to their tastes. It was a real testament to their hospitality. Vegan options were available and fun!

We’d heard good comments about Chicory and made it to brunch. Andy welcomed us in we were soon gazing in anticipation at the southern themed offerings. We’re both from the south, not that we’re experts on southern cuisine, but we do know our biscuits, so we opted for the breakfast sandwich, which was so good. The house bacon is so flavorful, and c’mon, you gotta have pimento cheese! I went with grits and they were nice and thick without going all lumpy. Give it a go, and we’ll be back!

Chicory might be the best restaurant in Olympia. It's unexpected and unpretentious which lend to its appeal but result in a low profile that I'm always hoping doesn't diminish their success. Love the bar styling and bathroom wallpaper heavy with gold accents, and they have what feels like an excellent secret record collection. I appreciate the servers state aloud the 20% gratuity. Since the gratuity addition is standard, I'd love to see them tack it on the menu pricing and brag about paying their employees and refusing tips. The menu rotates seasonally, ingredients are fresh, dishes are unique and flavorful, all making it fun to stop by and try something new. A long time ago I used to grab an oatmeal cream pie to nibble while walking downtown errends-yum! Overall I recommend dinner over brunch, in large part because the brunch menu is bread heavy - personal preference. Today's brunch we tried the shrimp and grits, parsnip fritters with chili yogurt, beignets with cranberry-pistachio-persimmon(?) compote, sunchoke salad, coleslaw, and the gin-absinthe cocktail. Grits were super fluffy and filling and the shrimp and leek topping was delicious. Parsnip fritters had an excellent texture, smooth, soft and creamy on the inside, perfectly crisp on the outside. The chili yogurt was good with it. Overall not terribly flavorful, but the texture kept us grabbing more. Beignets were dense rather than airy, well cooked, good flavor, and the fruit spread was fresh fall and wonderful, my favorite part, but mostly because I only like a bit of bread. I passed on the cookie crumbles. The sunchoke salad was the least exciting but was beautiful and felt like eating sunflowers in an assortment of textures, which was fun. I love coleslaw so was curious about theirs. It was good, creamy but not overdressed. Not terribly unique. Cocktail was good with flavors of licorice and lime and nicely formed egg white, beautiful presentation. Historical favorites: On the current menu, delicious

If you’re looking for a place to grab the most fantastic brunch in town, you’ve found it! The chef puts together a seasonal menu that is definitely outside the box and very fresh! Lots of amazingly delicious gluten free options.

We are so fortunate to have the culinary marvel, Chicory in our area. My husband and I have fallen in gustatory love with this charming restaurant. Haven’t tried it yet? Get ready for a treat! The sheer talent of the chef is amazing! She can make cauliflower, beets, and squash taste like heaven! The meal we had there last week with our neighbors was the best meal of any restaurant we’ve visited in years! The staff is always friendly and attentive. We will be celebrating my husband’s 60th birthday there in a few weeks…so excited to see what’s on the ever changing menu!

Took some family in town visiting for my first experience and we were all exceedingly happy with our meal. The blackened rockfish and parsnip fritters starred, but everything was delicious. Additionally, our service was prompt and very friendly - made us feel at home…like any proper Southern establishment would.

Reservations are highly recommended. We got away with walking in, but it was 5:15 PM. Even so, by the time we finished the place was down to two empty tables. We will come back and with reservations, but we will come early. I am guessing that it gets very loud later in the evening after most guests have a few drinks. 20% gratuity is added. I had the shrimp and grits, the were well executed, the greens a bit tough. My companion had the chickpea fritters, (OUTSTANDING), and the kale Caesar. Bathrooms were clean, service was on point. Street parking is free in Olympia on weekends and there is a lot across the street.

Chicory never disappoints. They have a polenta dish always on the menu called Panisse which is AMAZING even if you are not a vegetarian.
